When the original project manager for a Global Fortune 500 company headquartered in Wisconsin was displaced during an organizational restructuring, the senior leadership responsible for implementing a new global front-office application needed the project to continue and ensure that 4000 users were properly trained and ready to transition without adverse impact to operations. As part of the operational change strategy, the client needed an experienced change management project manager who could quickly step in and lead the efforts to get the work done given limited resources and an application that was still in early development.


Facilitate a smooth change transition and to address the dual nature of change that involved the people and process:
– Developed a project management plan that detailed how to achieve the change objectives
– Managed the overall plan, budget, and day-to-day activities to meet aggressive milestones
– Facilitated the development of a risk management plan that included indicators for monitoring impact
– Designed a visual dashboard that gave the leadership team an “at-a-glance” status report


The engagement resulted in a successful on-time and on-budget delivery of two training programs; one for the new front-office application and one for a new talent recruitment tool. The overall organizational results achieved based on the intervention were:
– Developed a comprehensive 40-hour training program
– Established a higher-than-anticipated level of user effectiveness
